A synergy of surfing prowess with partnership skills only found elsewhere in figure skating and adagio dance. The first recorded photograph of this amazing sport was in Hawaii in the early 1920's. Through the 50's and 60's teams from Hawaii, California, and Australia competed regularly, but in the 70's the sport all but died out. Thanks to devoted enthusiasts on several continents, it's making a comeback and getting bigger than ever. Now YOU can be a virtual part of the movement that continues to experience worldwide resurgence. The Hawaii Tandem Surf Association invites you to participate in the first ever, crowd-funded, crowd managed tandem surfer organization. !How it works: *Sign on as a member "wave-rider". *Choose a current professional tandem team you want to help manage. *Help design your team logo by submitting one that best reflects their personalities and strengths. *Help vote in new lifts. *Vote for your favorite team's logo design. *If the team chooses your logo, your design will be made into a cool HTSA bandana with your name listed as designer. *Interact with your team, via email, video streaming and blogs. *Learn the ins and outs, trials and tribulations that they face while training for worldwide events both in and out of the water. *Receive regular updates on their progress in the title events and where they are in the point standings. *Receive 15% off all HTSA sanctioned logo wear. *Finally, get VIP status, at tandem surf title events. *Part of your member fee supports the team's quest for the World Title. !Pre-register now: Once we get 3000 "wave riders" committed, we will contact you and activate your membership.
